Up 'Til Dawn hosts final event tonight

Admit it, you aren't going to sleep Friday night anyway. You might as well help raise money to combat cancer and other illnesses. Tonight is Murray State's ninth annual Up 'Til Dawn fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Students look forward to April Fool's Day

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, it must be April Fool's Day. With the nation's biggest pranking holiday around the corner, students prepare themselves to be a little sharper than normal Tuesday. It is the biggest joke-playing day of the year and has been tricking the world for five centuries.

Alpha Phi Alpha philanthropy

The steps were executed and the judges polled before the winners of the eighth annual Alpha Step-Off were announced March 12 in Lovett Auditorium. The step show had three divisions. In the independent division, Sigma Alpha Iota took home first place, Alpha Sigma Phi took first in the fraternity division and Alpha Gamma Delta won in the sorority division.

Lovett Live attendance lacking

In a time where concert tickets can cost 20 bucks a seat, Lovett Live offered students an opportunity to see an act for free. David Condos, with back-up vocalist Koral Bise, performed Tuesday as part of Lovett Live's Onstage Series. The duo performed acoustic versions of tracks from the full-length release "Smoking City," as well as new tracks.
