Westboro Baptist Church announced Jan. 22 it intended to picket Heath Ledger's funeral service because of his role as a gay cowboy in "Brokeback Mountain". Luckily, Ledger's family and friends held a private funeral and were able to avoid any contact with this church group.
After that big ball of glowing lights drops, millions of Americans make their new year's resolution to get in shape, eat healthy and shed those unwanted pounds. Droves of people swarm the gym, Jan. 2, buy those ridiculous home workout contraptions off late-night infomercials and try every kind of diet -from the ever-popular Atkins to the grapefruit- and- tuna diet.
